Motech December revenues up sequentially, E-ton down - ResearchInChina

Motech Industries reported December non-consolidated revenues of NT$3.313 billion (US$113.284 million), up 12.3% sequentially and 124.77% on year. Full-year revenues for 2010 increased 94.4% from a year ago to NT$29.587 billion. Consolidated revenues for December came to NT$4.449 billion, up 9.5% sequentially and 97.46% on year. Consolidated revenues for 2010 jumped 115.82% from 2009 to NT$34.493 billion.

Motech credited the strong December results to November order postponements, and the company is looking to increase solar wafer capacity to strengthen its supply chain.

E-Ton Solar Tech saw revenues in December fall 7.11% sequentially and but up 43.92% on year to NT$1.779 billion. Full-year revenues came to NT$18.154 billion, up 39.02% from 2009. E-Ton pointed out that the solar cell price decrease has impacted December revenues despite a rise in production. The company is confident that January capacity will remain at full utilization.
