Network equipment makers Accton Technology and Sercomm both saw their revenues hit a record high in December. Accton December revenues were up 32.2% sequentially to NT$2.77 billion (US$94.38 million), as Sercomm saw revenues soar 42.3% to NT$1.22 billion during the same month.
Accton and Sercomm December performance obviously defied the previous off-season patterns and set a scenario for new products and mainstream markets, according to industry sources.
For example, Sercomm's shipments of new products including femtocell base stations, wireless routers, broadband Internet access devices (IAD) and digital household surveillance devices have been gaining momentum, the sources added.
