AOpen saw its 2010 revenues of NT$2.39 billion (US$74.6 million) rise 15.81% from 2009 mainly due to booming shipments of digital signage products, while industrial PC touch panel maker WinMate Communication saw revenues of NT$1.33 billion hiking 38.4%, according to the companies.

In December 2010, although AOpen's sales in the US and Europe, which are the two major revenue contributors, turned weak, orders from China's hotels, restaurants and government procurement projects helped cover the gap, and so the company still achieved an on-year growth of 35.7% with consolidated revenues of NT$208 million for the month.

AOpen pointed out that China's orders are expected to continue boosting its sales in January 2011 and help its monthly average sales in 2011 stabilize.

WinMate, which has over 60% of its revenues coming from industrial-purpose touch panels, reported December 2010 revenues grew 18.5% on month and 98.64% on year to NT$160 million. The company pointed out that its rising sales in the fourth quarter of 2010 were mainly due to increasing orders from rugged tablet PCs and notebooks, and the company is optimistic about performance in the first quarter of 2011.
