TCL shipped 990,500 LCD TVs in December 2010, up 47% sequentially but down 19.1% on year. LED-backlit models accounted for 27.6% of the total LCD TV shipments at 273,700 units, according to the company.

LCD TV sales in Europe accounted for 53.6% of total shipments, and the China market 26.5%.

LCD TV sales for the whole of 2010 totaled 7.46 million units, down 10.85% on year. CRT TV sales totaled 460,000 units in December, and totaled 5.55 million units for the year.

Handset sales in December totaled 4.25 million units, and total 36.22 million units for the year.
