SOUTHWEST China's Chongqing Municipality generated 780 billion yuan (US$118 billion) in GDP in 2010, doubling the level five years ago, the local development and reform commission said on Saturday.
Per-capital GDP averaged US$4,000.
The city's fiscal revenue amounted to 199.1 billion yuan last year, up 400 percent as against the 2005 level. Its retail sales stood at 287 -billion yuan, up 18.5 percent on -average for each of the years between 2006 and 2010.
