Taiwan recorded total export value of US$25.35 billion in January 2011, the second highest monthly level next only to US$25.47 billion posted in May 2010 as well as increasing 6.4% on month and 16.6% on year, while the corresponding total import value of US$23.47 billion also increased by 5.6% and 21.9% respectively, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Among different categories of Taiwan-made products, electronics had the largest export value at US$7.220 billion, rising 7.4% on month and 18.2% on year.
