Taiwan-based cooling module maker Auras Technology has announced consolidated revenues of NT$298 million (US$10.17 million) for January, up 29.14% on month.

Auras pointed out that the company's stable workstation orders from US-based clients plus rising server and VGA cooling module orders helped the company's non-notebook product lines to contribute over NT$100 million to the January revenues and boosted the company's monthly gross margin to a new high.

In the future, Auras expects its non-notebook product lines will have a stable revenue contribution above NT$100 million every month and believes its development of non-notebook product lines will help reduce the risk from the notebook industry, which sees fluctuations easily. The high gross margin of the non-notebook product lines is also expected to improve the company's profitability.

Auras expects its non-notebook product lines' revenue contribution will rise from 30% currently to 35% by the end of 2011.

As for notebook products, although most of the company's clients only placed weak orders for the first quarter, since the company has started receiving shifted orders from a US-based clients in 2011, the company is confident it will see sales continue to rise.

Although coastal area of China are having serious labor shortage issues after the Lunar New Year holidays, the company, which is also located in the same region, was not affected much since the company's plants are located in the city and advantages hiring employees. Instead of damages, Auras is actually benefiting from the labor shortages since the company has recently received several orders that were shifted from its competitors as they are having labor issues.
