Raydium reports NT$20 EPS for 2010 - ResearchInChina

LCD driver IC design house Raydium Semiconductor has announced revenues of NT$9.172 billion (US$311 million) for 2010, and net income came to NT$1.282 billion or NT$19.97 a share. Thanks to clients looking to shore up their inventory, January 2011 revenues totaled NT$779 million.

Raydium's 2010 gross profit was NT$2.258 billion and operating profit reached NT$1.411 billion. Its EPS was the highest among Taiwan's driver IC design houses.

Raydium's parent company AU Optronics (AUO) is currently its main revenue source, but the IC design house is rumored to have won orders from Japanese firms and will begin shipments in the second half of 2011.

In related news, fellow driver IC design firm Novatek Microelectronics reported NT$7.65 in 2010 EPS. Its clients include AUO and Chimei Innolux (CMI), and in the small-size segment, Novatek began supplying to Apple and HTC in 2010.
