Micro-Star International (MSI) has stepped into the production of smart robot vacuum cleaners for ODM clients and sale under its own brand FunRobot, according to the company.

Have invested in R&D of home-use robot products for years, MSI has started commercial production of smart robot vacuum cleaners which are equipped with supersonic sensors to avoid collisions with furniture or appliances, the company indicated.

MSI has begun shipments of such vacuum cleaners to ODM clients in Europe in small volumes and expects to obtain orders for at least 60,000 units in 2011, the company noted. In addition, MSI will launch FunRobot smart robot vacuum cleaners in the Taiwan and other markets in Asia in the third quarter of 2011, the company pointed out.
