Taiwan-based LCD TV maker Amtran Technology has announced consolidated revenues of NT$5.4 billion (US$183.55 million) for February 2011, up 21% sequentially and 26% on year.
Non-consolidated revenues for the month totaled NT$4.9 billion, increasing almost 40% sequentially.
Shipments for 32- to 42-inch products accounted for 80% of Amtran's total shipments in February, and 15% for 47- and 55-inch products. LED-backlit models accounted for 47% of the total shipments, and around 20% for IPTVs. For 3D TVs, Amtran started mass production at the end of 2010, and shipments are increasing sequentially.
Looking into 2011, revenues are expected to increase on quarter, and market demand is expected to return to consumer based products in response to the current economic situation in the North America market.
