HannStar posts almost 18% sequential drop in February revenues - ResearchInChina

HannStar Display has announced revenues of NT$3.16 billion (US$107.5 million) for February 2011, a decrease of 17.9% sequentially.

Revenues for January to February totaled NT$7 billion, decreasing by 25.5% on year.

Shipments for large-size notebook and monitor panels and HannsG products reached 342,000 units, decreasing 33.8% sequentially. Shipments of small- to medium-size panels reached 27.95 million units, increasing 11.8% sequentially.

HannStar is expected to complete the transformation of its capacity to small- to medium-size panels in the second quarter of 2011, and the company will also launch IPS wide-viewing-angle tablet PC panels, while increasing touch panel capacity.
