ILI Technology (Ilitek) is expected to begin shipping mid- to large-size LCD driver ICs to clients at the end of the first quarter 2011, according to industry sources.
Additionally, Ilitek has also teamed up with branded-device vendors to develop touch-panel controller ICs for smartphone and tablet PC applications, with shipments slated to start in April-May, the sources indicated.
Nevertheless, Ilitek saw its revenues slide 18.6% sequentially to NT$473 million (US$16.09 million) in February. Ilitek expects its revenues to rebound in March thanks to its expanded product mix.
Raydium Semiconductor, which focuses on the production of large-size lCD driver ICs, has reported revenues of NT$647.22 million for February, down 16.9% sequentially and 40.6% on year. For the first two months of 2011, revenues totaled NT$1.43 billion, declining 5.3% from a year earlier.
