EMS provider Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has announced that revenues for February 2011 decreased 17.9% sequentially to NT$152.88 billion (US$5.15 billion). Accumulated revenues through the month were NT$339 billion, up 31.5% from the same period of 2010.

Foxconn revealed that consumer electronics products remained the largest contributor to its revenues in February, while the PC product segment showed satisfying growth. However, sales of communication-related devices were flat, the company indicated. Overall revenues were dragged down in February mainly due to fewer working days in the month, the company said.

Considering seasonality and fewer working days, Foxconn's February sales actually came in line with market expectations, according to observers. The company's March sales should rebound to January levels, the observers added.

Foxconn is a key assembler for Apple products. It reportedly also manufactures Kinect devices for Microsoft.
