Branded LCD TV vendors in China are conservative about their outlooks for 2011, with the top-six brands expecting their combined shipments for the year to top 35 million units, up slightly from the 33 million units shipped in 2010.
Meanwhile, the penetration rate of LED TV in the China market will increase substantially to over 50% in 2011.
3D TV panels shipped by Samsung Electronics will account for 35% of 3D TVs sold in the China market in 2011, followed by LG Display at 30%, Chimei Innolux (CMI) at 18% and AU Optronics (AUO) at 15%, according to an estimate by China-based Brian Elite Consultancy.
