Taiwan-based hinge maker Shin Zu Shing (SZS) has announced plans to invest US$5 million for the initial preparation of new plants in Chengdu, China, in addition to its plants in Chongqing, China.

Since the company plans to construct the plants in Chengdu instead of renting buildings as done in Chongqing, the construction of the Chengdu plants is expected to complete in the first half of 2012.

As for the company's plants in Chongqing, after the company finishes installing equipment, production lines will be ready for work in the second half of 2011.
