CMI aims to account for 20% of China 3D TV market in 2011 - ResearchInChina

Chimei Innolux (CMI) has showcased a series of 3D display panels covering from 23.6- to 65-inch at the FPD China 2011, and the company expects to account for 20% of the three million units of 3D TV market in China in 2011.

Jyh-Chau Wang, president of the Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), indicated that CMI is confident to account for 35% of China market in 2011, and it is aims to improve its cooperations with China-based vendors and help to speed up the promotions for 3D display, touch and energy-saving panels, as well as to improve the product quality for the rural subsidy program.

CMI's investment in China totaled US$1 billion at the end of 2010 with over ten invested companies, Wang noted, adding that CMI will focus on production in China in the future.
