HTC has unveiled two 4G-capable devices – the HTC EVO 3D smartphone and HTC EVO View 4G tablet PC – at the CTIA Wireless 2011 trade show in cooperation with Sprint Nextel. In addition, the company released a Windows Phone 7-enabled smartphone, the HTC HD7S, in cooperation with AT&T.
The dual-core HTC EVO 3D aims to take on dual-core models launched by LG Electronics (LGE), Motorola and Samsung Electronics as well as 3D-capable models from LGE and Sharp, commented sources in the industry.
LGE also unveil a 4G-enabled device, the Thrill 4G, in cooperation with AT&T at CTIA. The Thrill 4G also features a dual-core processor and 3D capability and supports HSPA+ with a download speed of 42Mbps.
Built with the Gingerbread (2.3) version of Android, the HTC EVO 3D features a QHD 3D 4.3-inch display and 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor. HTC EVO 3D also features dual 5-megapixel cameras, which can be used to capture both high-quality conventional and 3D images and videos, according to HTC.
