Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) is accelerating its deployment in western China with its R&D center in Changsha, Hunan province to commence official operations in April, according to industry sources.

Construction of the office building in Changsha has completed, and the company will begin to relocate its R&D staff in Shenzhen and other areas to Changsha in April, said the sources.

The R&D center will initially focus on the development of software, digital content and related products for China's triple network convergence, the sources added.
