Semiconductor material distributor Niching Industrial has posted NT$143 million (US$4.94 million) in March revenues, up 26% sequentially. Its cumulative 2011 revenues through March amounted to NT$412 million, up 33% on year and hitting a quarterly high.

Niching said that sales of memory module boards, flash memory cards and DRAM packaging-use board on chip substrates, as well as working days, returned to normal levels in March. Visibility of orders, especially for memory device-use substrates, has extended to June, the company indicated.

However, Niching expressed concerns that issues relating to upstream material supplies from Japan and the global economy could potentially disrupt the company's production and order status in the short run. Niching holds a conservative view towards its business in the second quarter.
