Wanlida (Malata), a China-based maker of PCs and consumer electronics, has unveiled a self-developed Intel Classmate PC, PC-A1007, becoming the third ODM in the supply chain for the Intel Learning Series next to Taiwan-based Quanta Computer and Elitegroup Computer Systems, according to China-based finance.sina.com.
PC-A1007 is designed for one-to-one digital learning and features a water-proof keyboard, shock-resistant casing made of engineering plastic, a 180-degree swivel touch screen and a handwriting pen.
In the China market, Intel offered Classmate PCs through cooperation with Haier and Founder in 2008, Tongfang and Hanvon Technology in April 2010 and Lenovo in March 2011.
