Memory module firm Silicon Power opens new plant - ResearchInChina

Taiwan-based Silicon Power Computer & Communications, which produces NAND flash devices and DRAM modules as well as solid-state drives (SSD) and portable hard drives, has announced the opening of a new manufacturing plant in Xizhi, a district in New Taipei City in northern Taiwan.

Silicon Power is headquartered in Neihu, a suburb of Taipei. Founded in 2003, Silicon Power made its debut listing on the Taiwan emerging stock market on January 11, 2011. The company expects to submit an application to list on Taiwan's over-the-counter (OTC) market in the second half of 2011.

Silicon Power has branch offices in China, India, Japan, Russia and the Netherlands. In addition to its own products, Silicon Power also distributes Nanya Technology's Elixir branded DRAM modules.
