Since leading international vendors of LCD TVs have lowered their 2011 target shipments set at the end of 2010 mainly because sales performance in the first quarter has fallen short of original expectation, Taiwan-based AU Optronics (AUO) and Chimei Innolux (CMI) may see utilization of their LCD TV panel production capacities drop from 80-85% in the first quarter of 2011 to 75-80% in the second quarter, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
