Australia-based Dynamic Digital Depth (DDD) Group, which licenses 3D technology for use in PCs and consumer electronics, has signed with LCD panel maker Chimei Innolux (CMI) for bundling its TriDef 3D PC software products with CMI's new lines of panels used in monitors and notebooks, according to DDD.
TriDef 3D PC software products support more than 450 PC-based games in 37 languages and are able to convert 2D content to 3D content, DDD indicated.
CMI said it is actively tapping the China market through cooperation with local vendors of 3D LCD TVs, aiming to ship three million 3D TV panels to the market in 2011. CMI also predicts that the 3D penetration of LCD TVs in the China market will exceed 50% in 2013.
