Taiwan received export orders with a total value of US$38.986 billion in March 2011, the highest monthly figure on record with on-month growth of 35.03% and on-year growth of 13.37%, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on April 20.
IT/communication products and electronic products were the top two categories in terms of export order value for March, with the former generating US$9.774 billion and the latter US$8.912 billion.
The value for January-March stood at US$102.317 billion, rising 11.01% on year.
