Specialty IC foundry Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) has announced revenues of NT$1.28 billion (US$45 million) for April 2011, down 3.5% sequentially and 4.1% on year.
"Due to product mix and unfavorable exchange rates, net sales for April decreased around 3.5% compared with NT$1,323 million in March," said VIS spokesperson DL Tseng in a statement.
VIS's revenues from April through April totaled NT$5.27 billion, up 7.4% from the same period of 2010.
During the company's most recent investors meeting, VIS estimated wafer shipments for the second quarter will decrease by 1-3% sequentially with flat growth in ASP. It did not provide any revenues guidance for the quarter.
VIS specializes in analog/mixed-signal and logic ICs, targeting mainly the markets for large-size panel driver ICs and power management chips.
