Taiwan-based solar cell firms Gintech Energy and Neo Solar Power have both posted sequential revenue drops for April 2011. Compared with the 47.51% sequential drop in April revenues posted by Motech recently, Gintech and Neo Solar performed better with drops of 24.32% and 32.45% respectively.
Gintech announced April revenues of NT$1,705 million (US$59.80 million), a 26.14% decrease comparing with the same period last year. Accumulated revenues for January-April reached NT$7,960 million, representing a slight 0.78% on-year increase.
Neo Solar's April revenues totaled NT$1,601 million, a 18.59% on-year increase. This marks the lowest monthly revenues for Neo Solar since June 2010. However, Neo Solar's accumulated revenues for 2011 so far are NT$8,859 million, a massive 103.17% growth compared with the same period last year.
