Hanvon Technology, the largest vendor of e-book readers in China, announced the reduction in retail prices for its e-book readers at a national sales agent conference on May 13, according to China-based tech.sina.com.
The retail price for N510, for example, has been decreased 39.5% from CNY990 (US$152) to CNY599, while those for high-end models from about CNY3,000 to about CYN2,000, the report pointed out.
Hanvon has forecast a net loss of CNY90-98 million for the first half of 2011, the report indicated.
