Taiwan-based Primax Electronics will expand its monthly production capacity for CCMs (compact camera modules) mainly used in smartphones from 15 million units currently to 20 million units at the end of 2011.

Of current CCM shipments, 80% are used in smartphones and 20% in tablet PCs, Primax pointed out. The company expects its 2011 revenues to increase 15-20% from NT$41.081 billion (US$1.29 billion) posted in 2010.
