Global first-tier CPU and GPU makers and designers Intel, AMD, Nvidia and ARM are all set to participate Computex 2011, which will be hosted from May 31 to June 4 with about 1,800 global IT players using over 5,200 booths, a scale 8% larger than those in 2010.
Intel will send its executive vice president and general manager of the Architecture Group Sean Maloney to give a detail keynote about the company's latest R&D and product lineup, while the company's other executives such as vice president and general manager of the PC Client Group Mooly Eden, vice president and general manager of the netbook and tablet group, Dong Davis and vice president of the Software and Services Group and general manager of the Systems Software Division all presenting their latest planning at the show.
In addition to Intel's next generation Ivy Bridge platform, strategy for tablet PC and netbook are expected to be the main focus from Intel at the show, while the company and Google's jointly developed Android tablet PC will have chance to appear.
As for AMD, the company is expected to showcase its partners' products that use Brazos platform, as well as devices using its upcoming Llano APUs.
Nvidia will also have a booth at Computex displaying its Tegra 2 CPU, using in different kind of applications such as tablet PC, smartphone and car electronics as well as announce detail of its upcoming quad-core CPU and project Denver.
ARM's president Tudor Brown and vice president Ian Drew will both visit Taiwan and announce result of ARM platform's success in tablet PC and smartphone, while it will also display several latest applications and technologies base on ARM structure. The company's cooperation with Microsoft is also expected to be a focus at the show.
