CEO of China-based PC brand Lenovo Yuanqing Yang visited Taiwan on May 30 mainly to secure the company's relationships with its upstream partners including Quanta Computer, Compal Electronics and Wistron.

Yang, at a press conference, pointed out that Lenovo has been seeing rapid growth in the past few years and will continue to work on expanding its market share. To achieve greater results, it will continue to value its suppliers in Taiwan and meeting them are the main purpose of his trip.

Yang pointed out that he visits Taiwan every year to exchange thoughts on the industry with upstream partners and negotiate strategies for them for the upcoming year. With the assistance from its ODMs, Lenovo was able to establish strategies suitable for the market and passing down accurate business decisions, Yang added.

Currently, Wistron is mainly manufacturing Lenovo's enterprise PCs, while Quanta is mainly focusing on consumer models with Compal covering both segments. With Lenovo already having climbed to the fourth largest PC brand vendor worldwide, its orders will strongly affect Taiwan notebook vendors' performance.
