Sandmartin International Holdings, a Hong Kong-based maker of digital TV set-top boxes (STBs), has signed an MOU with existing partner Technosat, a vendor of satellite and cable digital TV receivers based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, for the latter's participation in a HDTV platform project, ICHD, and thereby for the former to obtain orders for one million STBs in three years from the Middle East Broadcasting Center Group (MBC), according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.

MBC is the largest TV broadcaster in the Middle East and the second largest in North Africa, while Technosat is the exclusive equipment supplier for MBC, EDN indicated. Through Technosat, Sandmartin will become the only supplier of STBs for MBC.
