Shuttle has extended its New Notebook Ecosystem, a self-established ODM practice to integrate supply chain resources in an attempt to increase global market shares for second-tier vendors, from notebooks and all-in-one PCs to tablet PCs, according to the company.

Shuttle, through cooperation with Nvidia and Texas Instruments, has provided non-Wintel tablet PC software/hardware design solutions based on a modular design, including motherboard, operating system, driver program, peripherals and user interface to minimize R&D costs and time as well as production costs and time to market.

Shuttle has developed 7-, 8-, 9- and 10-inch Android tablet PCs of which the N09 and N10 series are consumer tablet PCs and V08 series models are specifically for use education.

In addition, Shuttle has seen improving sales of own-brand mini bare-bone systems and is developing new models specifically for China and other emerging markets. For ODM production of notebook and all-in-one PCs, Shuttle has adopted AMD- and VIA Technologies-developed platforms in addition to Intel's and is competing for orders from the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
