SerComm lands OEM orders for EMTA cable modems from client in North America

Networking/communication device maker SerComm has obtained OEM orders for VoIP-enabled EMTA (embedded multimedia terminal adapter) cable modems from a client in North America and will begin shipments in the first quarter of 2012, company president Wang Wei revealed at an August 30 investors conference.

In addition, SerComm has negotiated orders for MDU (multiple dwelling unit) GPON (Gigabit passive optical network) or EPON (Ethernet PON) terminal devices with telecom carriers and broadcasters in China and India, with shipments expected to begin in 2012, Wang indicated.
