According to a report by ocn.com.cn written today, there were 86,200 vehicles exported from China last month, setting a record high for August sales. The figures represented a year-on-year growth of 82.77 percent and were 17.61 percent higher than the amount from July.
The amount of buses and trucks exported increased significantly, while the ratio of sedan exports dropped slightly. Exports have been tipped as one of the most important avenues of development for the automobile industry. A source from the CAAM pointed out that exports played a major role in keeping industry sales high this year as the domestic market slowed down.
Chery exported 19,017 vehicles this August, while fellow Chinese manufacturer Geely managed 13,385 exports.
