Recently, Audi announced that it will introduce A1 and A7 to the Chinese market, with the aim to further expand product range and meet strong demand of luxurious cars in China. Besides, Audi started capacity expansion at its Changchun plant in this Feb., which enables its new capacity to reach 300,000 units at present. Influenced by the rising sales volume, Audi enlarged its investment in China repeatedly.
Sales volume of Audi achieved 29,476 units in Sept. 2011, up 33.2% YoY; while the accumulative sales volume reached 226,000 units during Jan.-Sept., which was very close to the total sales volume of 228,000 in 2010. Audi’s annual sales target is 300,000 units for 2011.

Taking advantage of being pioneer that entered into the Chinese market, Audi has already taken most of the market shares of luxurious cars. Sales volume growth rate of Audi in China has been far greater than those of BMW and Mercedes since Mar. 2011. Therefore, Audi’s steady market position cannot be replaced by BMW and Mercedes at the moment.
