According to purchase manager of BYD, the output of new energy vehicles including e6, K9 and Qin, has surpassed 10, 000sets as of Aug.30, 2014.

It is also estimated the sales volume of BYD Qin in 2014 will hit 15,000 units, and record 36,000 units in 2015. Also, e6 sales will register 12,000 sets in 2015.

At the same time, BYD also enjoyed strong growth in battery capacity. It is introduced that the capacity in 2014 is estimated to 5GWh, against the merely 0.12 GWh in 2010, up more than 40 times. In 2015, the figure will surpass 10GWh.

The battery safety is also the priority of BYD’s consideration. For cathode materials, BYD has done some research work on Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate （LiMn0.6Fe0.4PO4）and layered lithium manganese oxides, and holds it will be the next generation of safe and high-energy cathode materials. Regarding anode materials, BYD also pays great attention to Si and Sn.
