Chery likely to build EV plant in Zhuzhou

Chery Automotive Co. likely will build electric vehicles and plug-in hybirds in Zhuzhou in central China's Hunan Province. A team of Zhuzhou City government officials visited Chery and held talks with company Chairman Yin Tongyue this month, the Zhuzhou government said on its website. Municipal officials want Chery to build a plant in Zhuzhou that can produce 50,000 to 100,000 green vehicles a year.
