Beijing Hyundai launches new Tucson, three generations of Tucson to promote sales

Beijing Hyundai has announced that its new Tucson began to receive order as its old Tucson and Tucson’s revised version ix 35 still on sale in the market.

The new model, which is designed by the chief design officer of Beijing Hyundai, adopts Gamma 1.6T-GDi turbocharged engine and DCT of seven speeds.

Tucson, as the forefather in Beijing Hyundai’s SUVs, reported accumulative sales of around 420,000 units for 10 years since entering Chinese market in 2005. The brand new Tucson holds the hope that it will continually promote the sales of the company.

Beijing Hyundai reported sales decreasing 7.73 percent from the previous year to 510,229 units in the first half of the year. In particular, the ix 35 and ix 25 dropped to 17th and 19th in the top-seller SUVs list. All new Santa Fe sold 10,500 units in the first half of the year with average monthly sales of 1,800 units, slumping to 68th in the top-seller SUVs list. The monthly sales of Tucson were 450 units.

Along with the publication of new Tucson, the automaker implemented a serious of strategies to promote sales. Beijing Hyundai has been lowered the sales target of the year in June so that reducing the inventory of dealers and promote the sales. And the company will alter the production structure and improve marketing and sales measures.
Yet all the efforts are to be tested by the market.
