Ranking Battle in Chauffeured Car Market: Yongche’s soaring share approaching Uber

   Date:2016/05/05
Supported by LETV “ecologization” tactics, Yongche witnesses share reversion in a short time.

Yesterday, Tang Peng, CTO and co-founder of Yongche made a speech on LETV Ecological Exhibition Room in Beijing Auto Show, announcing that Yongche is catching up with Uber and sharing some key indexes for the second place with it. “In the next, Yongche will exceed Uber in service experiences.”

The latest data released by IResearch shows that Yongche has 1.35m active users by April 3th, ranking second with Uber. Yongche has great achievements since last November, with an average quarter data of 770,000 active users, compared with Uber’s 1.07m.

From this January, Yongche’s using frequency is larger than Uber, with a weekly frequency of 11.33m compared with Uber’s 9.27m. The quarterly frequency is 9.14m, larger than Uber’s 8.26m. Besides, Yongche’s using time is longer than Uber.

Yongche’s reversion began in last October, when LETV joined to become its controlling shareholder with 700m $. Last November, Yongche carried out a preferential policy to cut down 60% price, making it more competitive in the market.

Some analysts say Yongche App has a higher user loyalty, with a longer communication time for customers and platforms, which makes the difference between an experience-oriented App and efficiency-oriented Apps.

Tang Peng owes the achievement to its leading sharing-transportation platform and LETV’s ecologization support. But he also believes that, the most important reason lies in Yongche’s unique gene, which has attracted more users and drivers to the platform. He also announces that Yongche will launch a risk-management platform- Yidun System, the first in the industry, to better protect the sharing model.
