   Date:2016/05/31
Volvo Car Corp. named Chen Lizhe, the head of its business in Taiwan, the brand's new sales chief for mainland China.

The appointment will become effective on June 1, Volvo said.

Chen became general manager of Volvo in Taiwan in 2009 after joining the Swedish car brand in 2005.

He previously worked for Jaguar Land Rover and General Motors in Taiwan.

Volvo's previous China sales head, Fu Qiang, resigned earlier this month.

In the first four months of 2016, Volvo delivered 25,916 vehicles in China, an increase of 7.8 percent from the same period last year.

Volvo, previously owned by Ford Motor Co., was acquired by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. in 2010.
