Optics industry in Wenzhou and other southern areas of Zhejiang leads the whole country in the production quantity, economic scale, resource allocation, talent and scientific research and informational construction. More than 180 thousand people are engaged in this industry. The annual output accounts for 35% of the whole industry in China. 80% of the output is exported to more than 150 countries and other areas all over the world. A total amount for exportation accounts for 58.2% all over the country in 2005. The exporting quantity of sun optics shares 40% of market quota in the world around.
