In September, 2006, the first Asian Architectural Exhibition (AAE) was held the same time with the 12th Asian Congress of Architects in Beijing. Based on the huge construction market of Asia, especially China, with "A perfect combination of architecture innovation and building material innovation" as its theme, the exhibition exhibited various quality building materials and architectural design works of China and other Asian countries, which had a tremendous impact to the architecture and building materials industry in and abroad.

Considering the long-term development of the exhibition, Asian Architectural Exhibition (AAE) develops into China International Architectural Expo(IAE)with a brand new face.

China International Architectural Expo 2007 & The Second Asian Architectural Exhibition will be held in Beijing in Sep.2007, with an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters. The exhibits cover building materials, architectural design and building construction. Large academic activities of Architectural Society of China (ASC) will also be held the same time with IAE.

In this year, the Beijing Olympic venues which caught the world's eyes will all be completed; the "Six principles of China's real estate policy issued by the State Council on May 29, 2006" policy will force the real estate industry to develop a number of affordable quality housing; the state policy of building a conservation-minded society leads to the development of energy-saving construction and related building materials; the strategic thinking of building a harmonious society will have a deep influence to the changing of architectural design ideas and the development of building materials.

With "Harmony•Innovation•Development" as the theme, we merged the hot issues into the exhibition in various ways and activities. We believe that in the vital and innovative concept, with the strong support from related departments, IAE will be the largest and most influential industrial event in architecture and building materials fields.
