The year 2008 will witness the 6th edition of the China International Gold, Jewellery & Gem Fair – Shenzhen. Since its inauguration in 2003, the Fair has been receiving enthusiastic participation from all over the world. The scale of the Fair and the number of exhibitors are expanding year by year. The Fair has gained unanimous acclaim as a truly international trade fair serving the fast-growing domestic market and supplying the needs of the international markets in a competitive manner.

The Fair made further breakthroughs in 2007 that the exhibition reached 25,000 square metres and brought together 382 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, namely Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Korea, Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Through the extensive promotion campaign carried out by the organiser, numerous domestic and overseas trade buyers are drawn to visit the Fair, which in turn encourages communications among the industry. Altogether 7,382 trade buyers thronged the 2007 Fair among whom 2,000 were overseas buyers, accounting for 27.1% of the total attendance, with 5,382 domestic visitors accounting for the remaining 72.9%. Several key local industry associations brought buyers' groups from all over the country, making the Fair a hot trading floor.
