ORIENT Overseas (International) Ltd, Hong Kong's largest container line, posted a 10-percent increase in profit in the second half on higher demand for sea cargo.

Net income was US$331 million compared with US$300 million a year earlier, according to Bloomberg News. Sales rose 29 percent to US$3.14 billion.
