AXA-MINMETALS Assurance opened its Nanjing branch in Jiangsu Province to extend its foothold in eastern China.

Growth in premiums in the province rose 15.2 percent last year to 57.71 billion yuan (US$8.24 billion). The joint-venture insurer is already present in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou.
