PING An Insurance (Group) Co, China's second-biggest insurer, has paid over 20.8 million yuan (US$3 million) in claims related to the country's most powerful earthquake since 1950, the company said. The figure, as of noon on Monday, includes claims from Ping An's property, life and pension insurance businesses, the Shenzhen-based insurer said in an e-mailed statement.
