MACAU'S credit card turnover for the first quarter of 2008 reached 1.5 billion patacas (US$188 million) a slight increase of 0.6 percent over the previous quarter, according to the figures from the Monetary Authority of Macau.

Cash advance turnover amounted to 100 million patacas, 8.2 percent of the total credit card turnover, and credit card repayments grew by 11.2 percent from the previous quarter to 1.6 billion patacas.
