In Japan alone, there are nearly a hundred organizations and institutes with more than 30,000 researchers studying traditional Chinese medicine. Forty-four colleges and universities there have set up departments of traditional Chinese medicine. Now Japan is even planning to combine Chinese and Western medicine to create a new medical science.

Germany, Britain, and the USA are all paying special attention to acupuncture.Five of ten cooperative projects of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine of the USA are related to traditional Chinese medicine, four of which are under direct cooperation with medical institutes in Chinese mainland and Hong Kong.

Now more and more countries are interested in starting such cooperation in the study of TCM, in the hope of helping to introduce the Chinese ancient science to all around the world.
