Taiwan recorded industrial production index of 128.62 for July 2010, hitting a record for the fifth consecutive month, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) on August 23. The latest figure represents a growth of 2.02% sequentially and 20.70% on year.

The industrial production index (covering manufacturing, quarry & mining, construction, electricity/gas/water supply industries) for January-July hiked 34.22% on year to 118.67, MOEA indicated.
