GaAs wafer foundries Advanced Wireless Semiconductor Company (AWSC) and Win Semiconductor are likely to enjoy another month of record sales in September, thanks to continued-strong demand from the smartphone sector, according to market watchers. Both firms are expected to see fourth-quarter revenues grow about 10% sequentially, thanks to continued-strong demand from the smartphone sector.

AWSC saw its revenues grow 4.6% on month to NT$183 million in August, the sixth consecutive month of record highs, according to the latest figures released by the company.

Win Semiconductor registered consolidated revenues of NT$667 million in August, a record high for the fifth straight month.
